FREE "Planting Dreams" Family Conference [English/Spanish]
The Early Academic Outreach Program at UC Santa Barbara is thrilled to invite you to our annual Family Conference, "Planting Dreams," taking place on Sunday, October 27th from 8 am to 4 pm at UC Santa Barbara. This free event is open to the whole family!
Parents will benefit from sessions on creating a learning environment, financial aid, and financial literacy. 7th -11th-grade students can look forward to workshops on becoming competitive applicants and a hands-on budgeting activity. High school seniors will receive hands-on assistance with UC and CSU applications. For students considering attending a community college and transferring to a four-year university, UCSB’s transfer admissions team will host a series of workshops. Additionally, we will have hands-on activities for students ages 4-11 years old. All participants will receive a tour of the campus and will get the opportunity to ask current undergraduate students about their experiences.

El programa Early Academic Outreach de la Universidad de California, Santa Bárbara los invita a nuestra Conferencia Familiar, “Plantando Sueos", que se llevará a cabo el domingo 27 de octubre de 8 am a 4 pm en UC Santa Bárbara. ¡Este evento gratuito está abierto para toda la familia!
Padres participaran en sesiones sobre cómo crear un ambiente de aprendizaje, ayuda financiera y educación financiera. Los estudiantes de 7º a 11º grado podrán participar en talleres sobre cómo convertirse en estudiantes competitivos y en una actividad financiera. Los estudiantes de último año de secundaria recibirán asistencia con las solicitudes para UC y CSU. Para los estudiantes que están considerando asistir a un colegio comunitario y transferirse a una universidad de cuatro años, el equipo de admisiones de transferencias de UCSB organizará una serie de talleres. Además habrá actividades para estudiantes de 4 a 11 años.
Todos los participantes recibirán un recorrido por el campus y tendrán la oportunidad de pregúntale a estudiantes universitarios sobre sus experiencias.

Denison University, a small liberal arts college, is set in the proportionally small town of Granville, Ohio. Cornell College is a small, private liberal arts school in Mount Vernon, Iowa, that utilizes a block schedule. This special academic calendar, named One Course At A Time (OCAAT), consists of eight blocks of 18 days each.
