Principal Derrick's 2024-25 School Year Welcome Message

Dear Fillmore High School Students and Parents/Guardians:

Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year. We are excited to have you all back and extend a special welcome to the class of 2028. We look forward to you becoming a part of our FHS family and making this year great.

Our focus remains on equipping every student with the essential skills they need to excel in their academic pursuits, career trajectories, and as engaged members of society. To achieve this, we continue our commitment to nurturing an environment where the Four A's—Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Activities—are central to our educational approach. We firmly believe that a wide variety of activities significantly contributes to the all-around development of each student's unique strengths and abilities.

Our strength continues to come from our community—our students, staff, families, and friends. Together, we work tirelessly to offer exceptional programs that pave the way for our students to compete and succeed at the highest level. We remain dedicated to nurturing not just knowledge and skills but also integrity and character, shaping our students into accomplished, responsible, and valuable members of society.

We encourage all students to seize the many opportunities available at FHS. By doing so, they'll enjoy a fulfilling high school journey and be well-prepared for future challenges. I look forward to the upcoming school year and helping our students meet their goals.

Welcome to FHS—we look forward to a great year together.

Go Flashes!
